Assignment Information

Research a great thinker/philosopher who has published extensively on the subject of Individualism.  Once you become familiar with your chosen author’s definition of, and ideas related to, the concept of Individualism, select a politician or leader, or a political or social issue (past or present) and evaluate the politician or issue in light of your writer’s ideas on Individualism.

Sources:  You must cite from at least 6 sources, all from the library’s electronic resources, books, and journals. Note that this is not an Internet-based research assignment.

Format:  Your paper will be written according to the Modern Language Association (MLA) guidelines. You can find MLA format in our Hacker handbook and on the Ramapo library’s website.  The following URL address is also very helpful for MLA format: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resourCE/557/01/.
